Description
Large product assembly processes come with their own set of challenges and complexities. Achieving the tight tolerances and quality requirements as products scale up is a challenging process and requires specialized techniques. For the purposes of this module, large-scale assembly is the assembly of large-scale (greater than 2m x 1m x 1m) low-batch multi-component products (<100 per month). This module will focus on aerospace assemblies where these challenges are most acute, but also includes high-value automotive assembly, shipbuilding, and high-value construction projects with high quality requirements, such as nuclear construction or bridges.
