Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)

Consumers have the right to resort to Alternative Consumer Dispute Resolution (ADR) entities to resolve consumer conflicts without going to court, in a quick, simple, and generally free or low-cost manner.

RAL entities are independent organizations authorized to carry out mediation, conciliation, and arbitration of consumer disputes that are on the official list of RAL entities published by the Directorate-General for Consumer Affairs.

In the event of disputes arising from purchases of goods or services contracted online, consumers can resort to a competent RAL entity.

The updated list of RAL entities is available at: Directorate-General for Consumer website: https://www.consumidor.gov.pt

Online Dispute Resolution (ODR)

Consumers can resort to the European Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) Platform to resolve disputes arising from purchases of goods or services contracted online.
