Industry Week, which took place from June 2 to 6 in Figueira da Foz, hosted a day dedicated to digitization in the automotive and mobility sector. The initiative, promoted by Incubadora Mar&Indústria and ACIFF, was supported by MOBINOV – Automotive and Mobility Cluster, as part of the DIH4 Global Automotive project, a Digital Innovation Hub that aims to support the technological modernization of companies in the sector.
The session brought together around 50 participants and included presentations by representatives from Incubadora Mar&Indústria, MOBINOV, Matching Ventures, ESI Robotics, and Progrow. The opportunities offered by digitization in the automotive industry were discussed, with a particular focus on process automation, sustainability, energy efficiency, and human resource development.
The day ended with a presentation by Microplásticos, followed by a technical visit to its facilities in the Gala industrial park. Participants were able to observe, in a real environment, the application of digital technologies on the “shop floor,” reinforcing the importance of innovation in the competitiveness of the automotive sector.
This event reinforces MOBINOV’s commitment to promoting digital transition and bringing companies closer to the technological solutions that are transforming the industry towards Industry 4.0.
