Miguel Pinto takes over as president of Mobinov: New governing bodies elected for the 2025–2027 term

Mobinov – Automotive and Mobility Cluster Association announced the unanimous election of its new governing bodies for the 2025–2027 term during its General Meeting held on May 23, 2025. The new Chairman of the Board of Directors is Miguel Pinto, current Managing Director of Continental Advanced Antenna, reinforcing the association’s commitment to strategic leadership and innovation in the national automotive sector. At the General Meeting, Isabel Furtado, CEO of TMG Automotive, was elected President, also taking on a prominent role in the association’s new management structure.

The election of the new bodies represents an important step in consolidating Mobinov as a benchmark platform in the automotive and mobility sector in Portugal. For Miguel Pinto, this new cycle reinforces the commitment to the technological and competitive development of the industry: “Mobinov is a platform that brings together knowledge and expertise in the automotive and mobility industry, with the aim of promoting a growing appreciation of the competitiveness and internationalization of the sector.”

At a time when the automotive industry faces unprecedented challenges, such as digital transition and environmental sustainability, Mobinov seeks to respond with innovation, cooperation, and coordination among the various players in the sector. “It aims to contribute to transforming Portugal into a benchmark in research, innovation, design, development, manufacturing, and testing of products and services for the automotive and mobility industry,” said Miguel Pinto.

“To promote the sustainable growth and competitiveness of the national automotive and mobility industry through greater cooperation and coordination between companies, associations, public administration bodies, and SI&I entities,” added the new President.

Mobinov’s strategic vision is further reinforced in light of the challenges of future mobility: “Today, given the extraordinary challenges facing the automotive and mobility industry, the Cluster plays a key role in promoting the necessary innovation. This is particularly true in the development of new mobility solutions and in terms of the ongoing digital and green transition.”

Mobinov thus renews its commitment to strengthening the sector’s competitiveness by maintaining a collaborative network between companies, knowledge centers, and public entities. The renewal of Mobinov’s management represents not only the continuity of a mission, but also the renewal of a commitment to the transformation and modernization of the Portuguese automotive sector.
