The European Automotive Cluster Network EACN warns of a growing fragility of automotive suppliers due to huge transformations, digitalization, and ecological challenges in the sector, aggravated by production disruptions after the pandemic, shortages of components and raw materials, supply chain problems, and the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The EACN invites the stakeholders of the automotive value network to: – Consider re-evaluating and adapting existing contracts – Include more flexibility in future short-term contracts – Create lasting partnerships between stakeholders at the European level – Review the internationalization strategies of the automotive sector.
